Returns & Exchanges
At Sword & Whetstone, each item is forged with care — from enamel pins and apparel to collectibles and accessories. Because we’re a small business and many products are limited runs, all sales are final.
Jewelry items are final sale due to hygiene and safety reasons. This includes (but is not limited to) earrings, ear plugs/gauges, and any wearable accessories that come into direct contact with the body. These items are not eligible for return or exchange once shipped.
However, we want you to love what you receive. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery, and we will do our very best to make it right.
To request a replacement or refund, send an email to support@swordandwhetstone.com with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the item(s) and packaging
- A short note describing the issue
Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or defective. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance, as Sword & Whetstone cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
Inspection Upon Return: Returned items will be inspected upon arrival to ensure they meet return eligibility. Items that show signs of wear, damage, or alteration may be partially refunded or denied at our discretion.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or flawed item due to manufacturing or shipping, we’ll happily replace it or issue store credit.
Please note that minor cosmetic variations are normal with handcrafted enamel pins. Items purchased as Minor Flawed (B-Grade) explicitly feature these small imperfections (such as tiny specks, light scratches, or minor underfill) and do not qualify for replacements or refunds based on those flaws. For Standard Grade items, we will evaluate structural or noticeable surface issues on a case-by-case basis.
Returns for Non-Defective Items
We currently do not accept returns or exchanges for items that were correctly fulfilled (for example, if you ordered the wrong item or changed your mind).
If you have concerns before ordering — such as pin grades, materials, or sizing — feel free to reach out so we can help clarify before you purchase.
Non-Returnable Items: Jewelry (due to hygiene), final sale items, mystery pulls, preorders, and digital goods are not eligible for return or exchange.
Lost or Missing Packages
Once an order leaves our hands, tracking and delivery become the responsibility of the postal carrier.
If your package appears lost or delayed, please reach out to the carrier first with your tracking number. We’ll do what we can to assist, but Sword & Whetstone is not responsible for lost or stolen packages marked as delivered.
Preorders & Limited Editions
Preorder items are final sale and cannot be canceled once placed. Release dates are estimated and may vary slightly due to manufacturing or shipping delays.
Refunds (if applicable)
If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for it to appear in your account.
